5.8 Parts table
This mask
field shows the technical drawing ("graphics") of the table and the
details of the components shown.
The technical drawing and the
list of parts are connected so that when moving the cursor over the parts list,
the position of the part selected is shown on the drawing with a red square.

The
meaning of the various visual components that make up the mask field is
explained below.

Fig. 22: Drawing
A – Table heading. Contains the
following information:
» the
number of the current table and the total number of tables available for the
current selection.
» Buttons for moving to the previous/next table
(“<<” and “>>”).
» List of
tables available for the current selection. It is possible to select a table
directly by opening the list and clicking on the code.
» List of
variants in a table with possible "validity" (specifications for
which the variant is valid, e.g. "CC1.4 = 1400 cc engine"). It is
possible to display the decoding of the validity codes by moving the pointer
over the "bulb" icon =
.
» List of
table revisions.
Note: in the table heading it is
possible to make the connection “Menu”
to open the "Fast menu" panel displayed on the right of each ePER page.
B – Drawing. The following icons
for managing the display are shown at the top left:
»

the part of the graphics you are interested in using the right button of the
mouse.
»
=
zoom-out: makes the drawing smaller.
»
= restores the picture to its predefined
dimensions.
C – List of parts
This part of the mask field displays the detailed information about the
products linked to a specific table of the current Catalogue.
Any instructions for use and any
validity, optional equipment, modifications, etc. are present for each product
allowing the user to select, relating to the reference number, which product
code is used for a specific vehicle.
When some spare parts are
displayed in light grey with the writing crossed out, this means that, on the basis
of the previous vehicle specification selections (e.g.: engine versions, L/R
hand drive, production date, etc.), the corresponding product is not compatible
with the actual vehicle.

Fig. 23: List of spare parts
By clicking on a product code the
information relating to the price list and any replacements is displayed. Use
the "X" at the top right to close the window.

Fig. 24: Spare part details
It is possible to display the
description of the codes of the specifications displayed by moving the cursor
over the actual codes, as in the example that follows:

Fig. 25: Compatibility of spare
parts
Column in the list of parts
1 - Selector for
adding to the basket
This field usually contains a box
used for marking the products to add to the basket. If the icon
is displayed in place of the box this means
that the product cannot be ordered. In this case, place the mouse cursor over
the icon for more specific information.
By clicking the 'Add to basket' button the system puts
all the products selected in the table into the basket.
2 - Position number
This number indicates the
position of the product in the corresponding graphic table. The specific parts
code is marked with a red square on the drawing when the mouse is moved over
the line of the part code.
3 - Product code
("Code").
This is the product ordering
code. By clicking on this field in the lower part of the window the detailed
information about the price list for the product and any replacements the
product has been affected by are displayed.
4 - Description
Description of the product
5 - Compatibility
This field contains any
information defining the applicability of the product based on the particular
vehicle specifications.
For example: the engine type
(e.g. M5), the version (e.g. V12), the presence of optional equipment (e.g. 009
= air conditioning), the type of drive (e.g. GD = right hand drive), etc.
The validity codes can be grouped
in formulae through the use of the following characters:
‘,’ (comma) which means ‘or’
‘+’ (plus) which means ‘in
combination with’
‘!’
(exclamation mark) which means 'without'
For the
correct interpretation of the field we are enlcosing some examples of formulae
and their meaning:
M1,M2 : product only application
to engine types M1 or M2
V1+009: product only applicable
to version V1 in combination with optional equipment 009 = air conditioning
GD+(M1,M3): product applicable to
vehicles with right hand drive and engine type M1 or M3
!008: product only application to
vehicles WITHOUT remote control for opening/closing the doors.
By placing the mouse cursor over
the code the system will display the description. Use the
icon at the side of the list of tables to
display the descriptions of all the codes used on the page.
6 - Modifications
This field contains any
information defining the applicability of the product based on the
modifications made to the current vehicle model.
Each modification is defined by a
4 digit number (e.g. 5584) preceded by the letter 'C' or 'D', where:
'C' indicates that the product
has been eliminated following the implementation of the modification
'D' indicates that the product
has been introduced following the implementation of the modification
The implementation of a
modification can be indicated with a date, an engine number or a chassis
number. By placing the mouse cursor over the code for a modification, the
system will display the description and the implementation information through
a popup window.
7 - Quantity
Number of product units used.
8 - Notes
This field contains the code of a
note containing additional information on the product. By placing the mouse
cursor over the
icon the system will display the contents as a
whole.

When the
icon is present this means that the related
product is composed of a series of component parts. By clicking on the
icon it is possible to access the detailed
window and the components table.
10 - Colours.
Colours. This field may contain
any colour codes on which the product depends (for example in the cover
subgroups).
11 - Reconditioned / ‘Scrap`.
In this field it is possible to
display the "reconditioned" product code equivalent to the 'new'
product and the code allocated to the original product to replace, also known
as 'scrap' (see example below).

Fig. 26: Reconditioned / scrap
D – List of graphics. This area
contains the list of all the images (in reduced format) that have been
previously requested by the user. According to the selections made in the Group
and Subgroup selection windows, this area may contain:
» List of
all the graphics for the tables for a group (e.g. 274)
» List of
all the graphics for the tables for a subgroup (e.g. 27404)
» List of
all the graphics for a specific table (variants and revisions) (e.g. 27404/01)
By moving the mouse over each
image the system displays an enlarged preview of the graphics, number and
description of the table and any variant and/or revision.
This list may contain numbers
