6.2  Search by product description

This mask field makes it possible to search for products and their applicability starting with their description or part of it.

To continue:

 

»      Enter a search term in the first box and press the "Update" button at the side of the box.

 

For example, to search for all the possible product descriptions that contain the word "transmission" enter the word "transmission" in the box and press "Update".

At this point the system will evaluate the "Available descriptions" list with all the possible product descriptions that contain the word "transmission"

»      Select the description from the "Available descriptions" list that you wish to search for 

»      Optionally, specify other parameters, such as: Brand, Catalogue, group and subgroup. These parameters are used to limit the search on the applicability of the product. 

»      Click the “Search” button 

 

If the outcome of the search is positive, the system will display a list of all the products that have the selected description.

The applicability is displayed for each product: the Catalogues, groups and subgroups i.e. where the product is used.

The information on the product applicability is displayed on 3 levels corresponding to the Catalogue, subgroup and detailed information.

 

Initially, only the list of the Catalogues where the product is present is shown; to continue:

 

»      Click on the  icon at the side of the catalogue to display the subgroups

»      Click on the  icon at the side of the subgroup to display the line of the table where the product is used

»      Click on the product code if you wish to display the complete table or click on the  icon to put the product in the basket.
