8.7  Direct searches for Accessories, by CODE or by DESCRIPTION

By selecting the item "Search" from the main menu on each page, it is possible to access a mask field from which it is possible to search directly for one or more Accessories if you know the code or part of the description.

 

The diagram below shows an example of a search mask field:

Depending on the Segment, the structure of this mask field can vary slightly in relation to the example given.

 

The top part of the mask field contains the image (if available) of the Accessory and some details, such as: Product family, Unit of measurement, Weight, Discount Code, Price (in the currency of the Market) and Discount rate.

 

To perform a direct search if you know the product code:

 

»      Enter the product code in the first box

»      Click the “Search” button

 

To perform a search if you know part of the product description:

 

»      Enter a search term in the first box and click the "Update" button at the side of the box. For example, to search for all the possible product descriptions that contain the word "covers" enter the word "covers" in the box and press "Update".

At this point the system will evaluate the "Available descriptions" list with all the possible product descriptions that contain the word "covers"

»      Select the description from the "Available descriptions" list that you wish to search for 

»      Optionally, specify other parameters, such as: Make, Model, Segment and Type. These parameters are used to limit the search on the applicability of the product.

»      Click the “Search” button

 

If the outcome of the search is positive, the system will display the description and possible applicability of the product.

 

To display the detailed information for a specific Accessory, click on the code (see paragraph below 8.6).

 

To add one or more Accessories to the Basket, click on the corresponding boxes to the right in the table and then click the "Add to basket" button. If necessary, use the "Select all items" button to select all the products in the list with one click.

 

If there are a large number of Accessories to be displayed, the mask field shows page selectors at the bottom (page numbers) through which it is possible to display the complete list of available Accessories in order.
