4.1  Home Page mask field elements

A series of areas and checks whose meaning is explained below the reference figure can be identified on the Home Page mask field:

 

 

 

 

 

List and function of various Home Page mask field areas:

 

1)   It contains menu items and an icon for immediate access to the contents of the basket, the online manual ("?" icon) and the printing of the current page functions ("printer" icon)

2)   Menu items for changing the global navigation parameters; the items allow the:

a.   Selection of the application (e.g. Spare Parts, All Makes, Accessories, etc.)

b.   Access to the administration items. NOTE: this menu item is only shown to certain authorised users

c.   Select the usage market. This setting affects the currency and the prices displayed for the various products (e.g. spare parts)

d.   Select the consultation language

e.   Select the current brand from those available, e.g. Fiat, Alfa, Lancia, etc.

3)   Selector of brand from those available: Lancia, Fiat, Alfa, Abarth, Commercial Vehicles

4)   This field allows a search for any one of the following parameters:

                                          i.   VIN Code (Vehicle Identification Number) e.g. “ZFA19900000633123”

                                         ii.   Sincom Model + Chassis Number using the following example format “199-0633123”

                                        iii.   Part Code, e.g “71734555”

The system automatically recognises the type of data introduced and performs the search immediately. If a valid VIN or model+chassis are entered, the system will show a mask field containing the specific data of the vehicle found and from that time the navigation through the various catalogues will be “specific” for the products only (parts, tools, etc.) “applicable” to the actual vehicle.
If a valid Code is entered, the system will show a mask field with all the requirements of the part in the various catalogues of the brand currently selected.

5)   Selection of the application.
Note: The list displayed for a specific user could contain less applications compared with the ones shown in the reference figure.

6)   Preview mask field of the basket contents. Contains the list of the latest items in the current basket.
